A Message from the Director
As we embark on this very rare look at the Arab American world through our eyes, I can tell you we are already extremely humbled by the vast impact our fellow
Michiganders-Arab Americans have made to our state.
I write this to you while sitting in the Arab American Museum in Dearborn during a production filming. We have filmed here many times and will continue to do so, as it is one of the most important collections of life on display of the Arab American world.
We are honored that we can tell this story. We do it with sensitivity to the overall scope of the past historical and present condition in the Middle East.
So many aspects of the culture and drive of the Arab American whom have chosen to call “America” home fascinates us. It’s hard to imagine that in one hour, we will tell such a great compelling story.
I am ever so confident that we will showcase the Arab American people of metro Detroit and Michigan the way they should be portrayed. It is not difficult since starting this project. I have had the opportunity to have met many leaders in our community from many levels that I had no idea who were Arab American.
Our Arab American Story will be very special.
Thank you.
